The Sentry E. Labs Standard Duty Electromagnet requires the use of an access control device that has a built in timed relay. This lock is designed for indoor use only and has a holding force of 600lbs.
This electromagnetic lock was designed to be compatible with both 12v DC and 24v DC power sources by simply adjusting the power jumper. This the lock body of the drop bolt will not get hot from repeated use, due to it efficient magnet design.
Because this electromagnetic lock does not have a built in timed relay, an access control device must be used. The timed relay in the access control device will control the amount of time that the electromagnetic lock is unlocked for. Access control devices will be indicated by a “nucleus” logo on PanicExitPro. These devices can include:

Timed Relay
An access control device will be the central point of the locking system of the door. To aide in the exiting of the secure locking system, various exiting devices can be added. These devices will communicate with the access control device and increase the functionality of the locking system. Exiting devices consist of:

Micro-Switch Panic Exit Bar
Switched handle
Fire release
The Sentry E. Labs Standard Duty Electromagnetic lock has a built in status LED light. The light will turn green when the lock is unlocked and will turn red, once the locked is engaged.
